Open Access Physiotherapy

Many musculoskeletal problems respond well to physiotherapy.

In addition to appropriate exercises, physiotherapists can carry out a number of different treatments including ultrasound, acupuncture and injections. Back pain is now largely dealt with by physiotherapists at the Back Pain Clinic.

These services are now available by self referral or referral by the GP.

You can now telephone or drop in at specific times and speak to a Physiotherapist about your problem. You do not need to see your doctor first in order to contact the Physiotherapy Department unless you are housebound and require a domiciliary physiotherapy visit.
